The Inner Work can help you heal any and all human issues you may find yourself struggling with. In the case of a wound of guilt and judgment, our self-esteem gets blocked due to an unhealthy pressure to not be judged by others - usually parents or God. This then blocks our evolution because we never learn to make our own choices and become our own individual and instead appease what others tell us to do. While this seems “safe” to our wounded inner child that is just trying to avoid judgment and guilt, it ultimately suffocates our own soul by never being a free person. We have to face our own choices despite what others may judge in order to truly be free and develop our own self-esteem. This requires us to make peace with mistakes and facing consequences that sometimes are overwhelming, but at least we are free. The only way to have self-esteem and be an empowered individual is to have the courage to make mistakes, learn from them, try again, and keep becoming wiser. People pleasing is an avoidance of our own development that we have to let go of in order to heal. Once we have established our own autonomy from outside influence we can choose to still help people but from a place of empowerment and balance. Feeling equally allowed to say “no” as well as “yes” to things people want from us. How to stop being a people pleaser Why is someone a people pleaser Psychology of a people pleaser #innerwork #theinnerwork #innerchildhealing #shadowwork #selfhelpbooks #traumahealing #innerchildwork #innerchild #spiritualawakening #peoplepleaser
