he stopped hitting when I laughed once...it no longer hurt. he hit me harder to get the reaction he wanted. then the "punishments" changed

I learned to fight and on reflex blocked a hit, At 17 once I was lucky to be a man and had developed enough for my bones to stand up to others. So my mum stopped hitting me. Then it took training and going from 55kg to 75kg at 8.9% body fat, and years of fighting 15-21 for it all to stop. It is never ok, it is never funny. I struggled with the idea that my own blood could want to hurt me. And learned to be alone but now with a woman I want kids with, the trauma will end.

when I was hit ( I am a girl ) and my father had these enormous hands... I remember I was ashamed because I could only curl on the floor and protect myself as much as possible. I was hit as an emotional régulation I guess. I did nothing wrong
