In the 80's oxtails were 10lbs for $5. People would say "I'm going to make a big pot of oxtails to last until I get paid". Oxtails used to be a "stretch your money" meal.

As someone who grew up in Jamaica, oxtail was a special meal. It has always my favorite. So sad.. I’m trying to cut back on meat anyway as I mature.. 😂
