Did you know that the rotator cuff is actually a group of four muscles that come together as tendons to form a covering around the head of the humerus? The rotator cuff attaches the humerus to the shoulder blade and helps to lift and rotate your arm. 💪 Are you struggling with rotator cuff issues? 😅Here are 3 prone exercises that you might find beneficial! 👀 Exercise #1, Straight Arm Pulldowns: Reach your right arm up overhead with your palm facing down, and draw your elbow down to your side, then flip your palm up as you straighten your arm down by your side. Exercise #2, Ball Rotations: Hold a medium sized ball with a straight arm at a perpendicular angle to your body and work to turn your palm up to the ceiling. Return to neutral and repeat. Exercise #3, Shoulder Rotations: Start with your elbow bent and your palm face up behind your low back as shown. Slide your elbow to the side of your body and flip your palm down. If it is available to you, press your elbow down towards the ground as you rotate your palm towards the ceiling. There you go!
