@theplanttechie: What’s your favorite firewood 🔥 🪵(or least favorite) ?👇 Oaks, maples, and hickory are dense hardwoods that burn hot and long 🔥 🔥 🔥. But you can mix and match with lower output wood like pear or other less dense hardwoods but you’ll have to reload a bit more often. 🤷 Some wood like Ash makes a big mess and others can be tricky to split like sweet gum. 🪓 🧐 What’s your least favorite and why? ⬇️ #firewood #woodstove #woodstack #fireplace #woodstorage #splittingwood #oakwood #maplewood #pearwood #homesteading #hearth
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they don't like ash firewood

My experience oak doesn't burn very good unless you mixed it with a softer wood.

ash is my favorite wood to burn. clean, easily accesble, decent btu's! oak is great but dirty, and you can certainly mix in White Spruce in moderation. Hard Maple is excellent as is Hickory. Ironwood
