Clark Wiley died by his own hands shortly before he was scheduled to appear in court. California Authorities have kept Genie in State-Run institutions with her exact location secret for the past several decades. “I’m pretty sure she’s still alive because I’ve asked each time I called and they told me she’s well,” said Susan Curtiss, a UCLA linguistics professor who studied and befriended Genie. “They never let me have any contact with her.
