As a (now) commuter, the bigger issue for me is that there’s no space on commuter rail for more people to be taking the train. We’re not solving problems in the order they need to be solved.

I live in midtown and I work in New Jersey (sadly), so I drive thru the Washington bridge and I pay that toll and then I have to pay to go home, pls make it make sense

How about how most New Jersey Uber drivers still don’t wanna cross the river into Manhattan? How are people that live in New Jersey and work in Manhattan like me supposed to rely more on this?

Taxis and ride share aren’t even charged $9. It’s $0.75 per trip added on as a fee. Happy to pay it if the trip is shorter

Nobody EVER thinks of the bus, because the buses have been rendered useless by traffic. But if the bus becomes a workable option, HUGE SWATHS of the city become reachable, that's money money.

London, England has congestion pricing. Study their system and see what will happen in the US eventually. With all that $$, NYC will still never have efficient trains like Europe and parts of Asia.
