London Drugs says cybercriminals who stole files from its corporate head office last month have released some of the data after it refused to pay a ransom. The retailer says the files may contain employee information, calling it a "deeply distressing" situation. It’s currently reviewing the files that may have been stolen and will contact affected employees to tell them what personal information was compromised. The company is also offering employees credit monitoring and identity theft protection services. It says there is no indication that any patient or customer databases were compromised in the breach. The cyberattack forced London Drugs to shut down its stores across Western Canada after it was discovered on April 28. #londondrugs #cyberattack
Liz McGuire is still a Jays fan — even after a foul ball smacked her in the face. McGuire posted on X on Sunday, writing, “I got my face mashed in by a 110mph foul off Bo Bichette's bat. I didn't even get the ball.” In an emailed statement, the Blue Jays said medics treated McGuire immediately, and that there’s netting protecting some fans from being struck by foul balls. "Fan safety is a priority and the Blue Jays have numerous precautions in place to ensure a safe environment for all fans at the ballpark," the statement said. "The Blue Jays followed up with the fan and invited her to be our guest at an upcoming game and offered her a signed ball from Bo Bichette." McGuire is now getting her own trading card featuring her post-injury selfie. Collectible cards company Topps says it has produced 110 copies that it will send her way. #Baseball #Injury #TorontoBlueJays
