companies have gotten so shady. it use to be 90% the day AFTER christmas when i was growing up. now you have to wait weeks later to barley get 50%.

what you said is true. I used to work for Walmart, when they have stuff on liquidation my Spanish co-workers kept them in the back of the store and called their relatives to come and buy them.

they usually won’t donate them because they can just write off the loss when they throw stuff away. donating comes with the risk of liability if anyone gets sick from the donated products

No they will send it back to main warehouse house and the food they will get credit for that possibly throw it out, but they’ll cut it open or dispose of it before they put it in the garbage

Most of the time the food that is still in date gets donated and the inventory that they send to the back of the store gets boxed and sent back to the distribution center it came from

It’s all over the place! Some stuff is 90%, most is 75%, then some is ringing full price. Oddly, I found silk pillowcases stocking stuffers that full price were marked as $3 but were scanning $7.99!
