“Crying non-stop after being bullied. Is that all you can do? Can crying really stop the pain?” He also said: > “When I’m in pain, the only thing that makes me feel better is putting someone else in even worse pain… You see, people want to torment you even more when you’re like this. Or… do you actually enjoy being tormented?” These words sound cruel, but within context they function more as a harsh self-defense mechanism a push for Aisha not to remain powerless. Not because she enjoys suffering, but because the world becomes even crueler to those who never resist. Sean later gives Aisha a knife and says: > “Then I’ll give it to you. You won’t be so frightened with this.” > “If I want to torment someone, I’ll be sure to make them fear me and obey me their entire life.” He then leaves a cut on her palm. The act is extreme, but in the end we learn that Sean’s intention was not sadistic,it was a grim method to distinguish Aisha from her twin. A dark decision born from a dark situation, not from cruelty. In Ayesha Secret, both Aisha and Sean carry wounds and trauma, and it is precisely this similarity that allows them to understand one another. That is why Sean says they "need each other." In the end, they live together without having children yet they are happy, accompanying one another and slowly healing their respective traumas. In my view, this ending is fitting. Not every story needs to end with children, especially given their deeply traumatic pasts. They may not be ready to bring an innocent life into such a cruel world and that is not wrong. Their happiness is not measured by that, but by companionship, acceptance, and healing. #cryorbetteryetbeg #ayeshasecret #aisha #manhua #fyp " width="135" height="240">
"just write a complex ML,not a criminal." brutall. Many people misunderstand dark romance as justified twisted morality. for example, a male lead being abusive, committing SA or grape against the female lead under the excuse of “because he loves her.” That is not dark romance. That is the romanticization of violence. True dark romance is not about justifying depraved behavior. It is about twisted situations shaped by trauma, a cruel world, and moral grayness. If violence or abuse exists in the story, it is framed as a problem,as sin, damage, and trauma. not something to be excused or glorified. In well-written dark romance, characters are not justified, let alone idolized. The focus lies on psychological impact, consequences of choices, and the process of survival. Relationships develop through distance, and healing not through coercion or force. Unfortunately, many authors and readers misuse the label “dark romance.” Dark romance is not a story where a male lead abuses, assaults, or rapes the female lead, only for the female lead to end up with Stockholm syndrome and have it framed as love. A proper example of dark romance can be found in the manhua Ayesha's Secret (including its remake Aisha). However, the focus here is specifically on Ayesha's Secret. This manhua carries both a dark story and romance. The female lead is strongly and thoughtfully written. The male lead is complex and morally gray, yet not depraved. There is no male lead who rapes or sexually assaults the female lead. The female lead (Aisha) grows up in deeply traumatic circumstances, but that trauma does not make her weak. Instead, she confronts and teaches a lesson to those who caused suffering to her and her twin. without relying on the male lead as a savior. I deeply appreciate stories where the male lead is not constantly positioned as a rescuer, because here the female lead is portrayed as strong, independent, and driven by her own goals. On the other hand, the male lead (Sean) is a complex character. He also carries trauma and past suffering related to abuse and SA, but this is never used as an excuse to harm others, especially not the female lead. When Aisha once cried alone, Sean said: > “Crying non-stop after being bullied.
