She said propane though. I had no idea coals could do that too. How would she necessarily know that?

She knew the propane needed venting. She said when they have it, they vent. They ran out, and used coals, not realizing it could do that. I don’t like how this guy narrated this. She’s giving as much info she could.

Never speak to the cops without an attorney. Do you see how they make anything you do/say into proof of how you must be guilty of something?

The whole thing is incredibly sad. I think the knowledge that you accidentally killed your own child is enough of a life sentence 😣

wow!! this case is just so so sad. I do think both parents were shocked to find out their daughter passed. I think they have problems with processing trauma likely due to childhood trauma..

Everyone reacts to grieving differently. I don’t like how the cop was trying to describe her inauthenticity as a mother.

I would scream and lose sense of reality if someone tells me my son was gone. Even writing this Im already almost crying. This little girl was so neglected

uh she only admitted that she knew the propane heater made them sick. I would have also assumed that coals wouldn't produce carbon monoxide like propane does.....

I feel that is was a terrible accident, but definitely not intentional! Get them for neglect because the house was filthy and they didn’t have good living conditions, but a life sentence for an accident is crazy! Also how can a cop have the power to access whether a grieving parents response is authentic enough?? Everyone processes grief differently, and he is no psychologist.

She very well could have been in shock but I have to admit I 100% expected a mother’s d3ath cry. I would not be able to stifle the screams that would inevitably uncontrollably leave my body after finding out I’ve lost my child. I hope I never have to find out what that feels like. It hurts enough for other people 😭

I don't understand why they would be facing life in prison over an accident. I do not for one second think she knew coals would cause this. this is so sad.

She said propane not that she knew coals… I just now learned that. Also wouldn’t having to live life with the weight of losing your daughter be enough punishment. The house is small, a little trash will look like a lot in a tiny home. Even if it was as bad as the fridge I think losing a child is beyond punishment enough for a mistake. Every grieves differently.

She said the throwing up was from the propane not the coals. I don’t think they realized the coals gave off carbon monoxide

This frustrates me! They could have done better but I do not believe for one second that they would ever want to harm their children.

I have SPD and I’d react the same way- full disassociating and not able to show emotion. Even though I feel pain physically or emotionally I don’t react and or laugh instead of crying.

I don’t like that we judge everyone’s response to shocking news. I have seen if you over react , it’s bad, if you don’t react it’s worse, act shocked it’s is questionable. 🤷🏻‍♀️what’s the accurate human response to news like this?! 🤔 I know this was preventable and the parents need help. I hope they and their son get help. ❤️🙏🏻

what a messy situation. I don't think they were acting maliciously, but I imagine if I were a first responder and I had to pull a small child dead of something completely preventable out of all that filth, I would probably experience some animosity. it's not right, but it's human

I all fairness, I didn’t cry tears when I learned of my daughters death. It didn’t seem real. I was in shock and it took days for me to fully grasp it and break.
