Fact 3: There is no hadith that mentions that the Prophet Muhammad cut part of his sleeve because he didnt want to wake his cat that was sleeping on it. However, there is a story that seems related to this. Imam al-Zahabi, when narrating the character of al-Rifal Abu al-Abbas Ahmad bin Ali bin Ahmad bin Yahya, presented a story about Sheikh Ahmad with a cat when he was about to perform prayer, he cut his sleeve bcs didn’t want to wake up the cat.
