A few days ago, we came across an abandoned cocker spaniel in one of our volunteer’s neighborhoods. She was so scared, and her ears were twice the size they should be (see our previous video) because of the excessive fur and the garbage she accumulated from being abandoned for days on the streets. Luckily, our volunteer was able to bring her in. We gave her a warm bath, cut the fur balls, and took her to the vet the very next day. According to the scan of her microchip, she had not been given any vaccinations or treatment for parasites, so we did all the checks and provided her with the treatments she needed. She had a small ear infection, but nothing serious. While she seemed physically healthy, we could tell she was very traumatized. We have information from the neighborhood that she was abandoned three times in a row by different owners. She spent her life on a leash and was constantly used for breeding. They told us one of the previous owners was beating her nearly to death, so she never barked since.😖 (It’s been a week now that she’s been with us, and we haven’t heard any sound.)😟 She constantly shakes and freezes at every movement around her. She spins in circles all the time like she’s lost and confused (not happy spins). Her breasts are very damaged, we assume because of breastfeeding for six years. This dog is nothing but pure love; you can see it in her eyes. We beg you to help us find Ati her forever home, a home that will show her she’s loved and welcomed because she has never experienced that in her whole life. In the meantime, if you can support us with a donation, no matter how small, to cover expenses for her vet checks, food, spaying and resources to help her rehabilitate, we would be very grateful.
