I work at a stair manufacturer and we did 10 sets of the mono stringer but we had to much deflection when stepping on the L/R edge. How much deflection with a 2" tread added?

Isn't the whole point of that ellis saw the mitering head? Why turn your tubing clear out in the middle of the shop to cut the angle when you have a nice roller infeed table?
