We tried so many things. Everything. The only thing that worked for us is that we figured out what caused them to fight and prevented it. Over time, they got used to each other. They only fought inside the house, around food, or near. They would fight if you grab one while the other is nearby. They don’t like being held back. They never fought when they were home alone together or outside, which is interesting. We started to: * Feed them separately. * Manage their access to me when they’re both out inside the house. They’re super jealous and territorial, especially if I'm on their level, (like the couch, bed, or floor). They'd go at it if one got too close to me. Their fights were so bad there’d be blood, and we didn’t want it to happen anymore so we kept them separated all the time. We rotated them in and out of crates, which prevented the fights, but it didn't solve the underlying issues. Then, my husband started to let them out together when I wasn't home, closely supervising them and not feeding them together. This helped them get used to each other over time, and they eventually started to play together and not fight. Next, we started to let them out when I was home. I noticed that Max would run to me, while Gunner stays by my husbands’s side. Each dog claimed their owner so that helped also. By consistently avoiding the triggers, they eventually learned to coexist! They will still fight here and there, but we can tell when it’s going to happen and will prevent it. It has gotten so much better and makes life at home easier. #frenchie #frenchbulldog #frenchiesoftiktok #dogs #fyp
