@gretatrainsdogs: 💔 We’ve gotten a lot of criticism for advocating for dogs like this Anatolian Shepherd, Oliver. 😢 👉 People have asked countless times, “What are you thinking when you’re working a high risk dog?” I’m in the moment; observing, assessing and always taking action. Even remaining still is an action. I also tend to view the interaction from above as an invisible third party. This video gives you some of my thoughts. 👆 🚫 ”What about the haters?” “lol, yep.. what about em?” 🤣 📍📍📍📍 💪 The Anatolian Shepherd is a large, powerful, and agile dog breed that originated in Turkey. They are known for being protective, loyal, and territorial. They are also known for being reserved, calm, and loud so none of this surprised me. 👍 @Brick City Rescue contacted us about Oliver in a very high stress, less than adequate, animal control facility. 💀 A dog of Oliver’s paralyzing fear doesn’t stand a chance there 💉💉. They simply don’t have the resources. ❤️ Staying right sized is of the utmost importance when working shelter dogs in this state or fight or flight; both literally and figuratively. The situation in the moment must be changed asap as well. Hence, the priority removal into a quiet area. 🤐 That includes people… STFU! I do too!
