Finally someone is talking about this. I’ve had questions over safety for a while. I’ve seen so many people buying teethers etc for their baby, silicone items with no certification nothing. So unsafe

Literally! The amount of hauls I see of baby clothes/toys from there

Ummmm all PJs/dressing gown type products have a fire/flammable warning on them in Australia. This could happen with literally any oodie/dressing gown. This isn’t Temu thing.

The only thing it didn’t abide by was the warning label that it’s flammable. Any polyester fabric would do the exact same thing.

So so terrifying. Because products that cheap don’t go through any quality testing, use good materials or comply with Australian regulations.

Got given a few baby clothes by my sil that were SHEIN - I’m keeping them for bub to use on a dolly when she’s older but won’t be dressing her in them 🙅🏻♀️

I don’t know why people are surprised. Like that would have been classed as pjs and they have strict fire safety on them. The only thing I’ve bought from temu was tablecloths for my market stall

I have friends who spend hundreds on shein and temu on a regular basis and I just do not get it. even besides the ethics and overconsumption, the quality is just terrible. I cannot understand how people justify it.

This story is so sad. It’s not just Temu. I bought a similar item from Kmart and had my daughter near camp fires not even realising how tragic it can be and I work with fabrics. Oodie is the same. I rarely put her in poly but now I will avoid

Dressing your kids in 100% polyester is not good. Read the label and dress your babies in cotton. I’ve said this SO many times and my MIL keeps sending me hideous temu clothes for my baby 😭 also the cuts on them are wild, everything is wide and short. No labels so I have no idea what the fabrics are. We’ve had three massive bundles so far and he’s only 10 months old, have had a gentle chat over Christmas so hoping it stops but will be sending her this article. When in doubt just gift a Bonds zippy pleaseeeeee.

this applies to influencers/creators too! i don’t want to see ‘i tried temu products so you don’t have to’ vids anymore, we already know how exploitative it is in every single area 😡
