Yet... i couldn't refinance my home until I stripped and repainted the non lead paint on the inside of the roof on my nack porch because there was a slight bit of peeling paint, & it could have lead.

I made my youngest sons baby food. Boiling carrots, blend. Baking sweet potatoes, blend. Frozen peas, thawed & blend. Apples, bananas, pears, blend. Cheaper and way better for the baby.

Also check the dates on baby food before you buy it I can't tell you how much expired food I'd find on the shelf when they'd have me finally go through the baby food

Not all lead is capable of being removed from the food process yet. Upgrading of equipment is only part of the equation. Growth mediums, bioaccumulating crops, and consumer appliances are all huge too

I’ve been making my own baby food for last two babies. Independent studies are recording lead exposure high in baby foods. Even my pediatrician doesn’t recommend baby cereals for this reason.

I'm so glad none of my kids every had jarred baby food. I just used a food mill and made my own. I boiled potatoes and carrots, milled them up, and fed that to my kids.

At my sons 4mo appt his ped INSISTED I start giving him Gerbers baby cereal. I said I would but didn’t knowing the choking hazard. 3mo later, ped said we needed to test him for lead poisoning
