We did ours for under 10k, simple ceremony then basically a big party for the reception instead of the classic sit down style. We later bought a house with the money we saved!

Go with not a wedding venue. If that makes sense. Like a heritage pub. Heaps in Melbourne and surrounds. I found not traditional venues were much more affordable.

Metropolis Events on Southbank! I got married there in 2019 and it was amazing!! You look out over the yarra river! It’s beautiful and the food was SPOT ON!

I catered a wedding at the Botanical gardens, it was spectacular! A friend had it at Williamstown gardens it was amazing, & the beach for pics as well. Good luck
