they make the cakes at Hotel Sacher dryer so that they last better with transport, if you don't like it dry, go somewhere else (it's also wayy overpriced)

Pretty much all Austrians know/agree that Hotel Sacher has the worst Sachertorte to rip off tourists. It’s horrendously dry. The cheapest one in the supermarket is genuinely better. 😅🙈

The best Sacher cake is at Heiner ✨ ive tried them all and its the one that converts people to Sacher cake. If you want the Sacher branding get the Würfel. Its better

Whether you like it or not, the Hotel Sacher in Vienna is the only place that produces the 100% authentic Sacher Cake (Sacher Torte , with a trademark, made exclusively of chocolate, on the cake).

Honey, no. Every Austrian knows to get Sacher cake anywhere EXCEPT from the Hotel or Café Sacher, because they somehow manage to make it much too dry. 🤣

the truth about Sacher is: It is not that good… it is ok. it is well known. But there are so many cakes that taste waaaay better. Also only the hotel sacher is allowed to call it „Sacher Torte“.
