@bookishgirluk: These are my top 5 thriller books of 2024. I reallt enjoyed Lucy Clarkes 'The Hike'.. its so atmospheric & suspenseful. What an adventure that book took me on! Number 4 for me is 'Home before dark' by Riley Sager. A creepy, paranormal thriller.. it didn't take me long tonread this book! My heart was pounding at times whilst reading home before dark. My third book, was Gone by Dawn by H.k Christie. I really, really enjoyed this book and fact the series. I turned the pages so fast, i devoured it! Great charcters, brilliant atmosphere.. I forgot i was reading! It's a great series and I can't wait for more in the Val Coasta Series. The characters are amazing! Val (main charcter) is one of my favourite book characters, ever. This is seriously a page turnerning book (and series!) My second book is Lisa Jewells 'Then she was gone'. Wow! This book was once my shelf for ages.. I wish I had read it sooner! Totally unputdownable, the twists.. just wow. This was an emotional read which i didn't expect but I loved it! Thus book would be great for getting out of a reading slump. I was hooked from page one. And number is is 'The bad neighbor' by Jenifer Ruff and 'Vanished on vacation' I couldn't decide which one I loved most, so they both get the number one spot, lol. Theyre bith twisty and both had me hooked from the first page. The bsd neighbor is everything a thriller book needs to be. The twist surprised me!! Great charcters!! The same wirh vanished on vacation, another brilliant thriller. Lived the vacation (Mexico) setting! The whole agent Victoria Heslin series is AMAZING! It is my favourite thriller series! I can't recommend these books enough, they're seriously unputdownable, easy to read. Each book can be read as a standalone which is brilliant but as a whole series?.. chefs kiss! And agent Victoria? (main character) I adore her! I wish I WAS her, lol. Jenifer Ruff has really created an admirable character. I'd rate these books all the stars if I could.
