@local10news: A passenger found himself trapped in a self-driving taxi en route to Phoenix Airport and captured the experience on video from the backseat. According to ABC affiliate KNXV, the Waymo autonomous vehicle became confused while navigating a traffic circle, looping around it eight times. The passenger, Mike Johns, contacted Waymo for assistance, and a company representative eventually regained control of the vehicle. Waymo stated that the incident caused a five-minute delay, but Johns still made his flight. The company also refunded his cab fare.
