Masjid al-Ijabah is considered one of the oldest mosques in Makkah. It is located in al-Muhassab (known as al-Ma’abada today), situated between Masjid al-Haram and Mina. Tradition holds that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) prayed at this site after the Quraysh boycotted him and his family in 5 BH (616 CE) and on the day of the Conquest of Makkah in 8 AH (630 CE). He also prayed in this area during the Farewell Hajj in 10 AH (632 CE).
