Mike Shinoda created Linkin Park, which Cheaster later joined. At the end of the day, this is Mike's band. Many bands gain new members when old members leave; nothing new, and saying that it's not Linkin Park without Cheaster is disrespectful to the other members. Cheaster would want Linkin Park to live on and to keep going; he would want them to keep helping people through hard times, and Cheaster would not want Linkin Park to stop.

Besides Chester’s iconic voice, LP is Mike. He produced and wrote most songs. Their sound is due to him, mainly. He earned the right to use that name however he pleases.
