We learned about prader Willis the first month of medical school. Current medical students are taught about it but I doubt the older generations were.

Somebody with prader willi syndrome has a defect in the hypothalamus, the area of the brain that controls hunger and thirst. it explains the hangriness she was talking about.

My dad had a patient with it and said her care worker had actual trauma working with her. It suvks because it’s nobody’s fault, it’s a very unfortunate condition
