the crazy thing too is bathing really doesn’t help with fleas😭 takes daily brushing , washing all blankets and vacuuming multiple times a day

ur supposed to bathe ur cats in water that's already still, what freaks them out is the running water and how loud it is, I get a 5 gal bucket and use a pitcher to pour onto my cat in the bath

That’s what I thought! I get in the bath with my cats cause it seems to calm them and idc if I get scratched cause I understand they are scared

I’ve trained a few cats to slowly get used to a bath for possible future medical necessity. I did it for stray cat with fleas too. It never has to upset a cat to this severity.

This might be the hard way but I always got into the bath with my cats and hold them on my lap while I washed them that always seemed to help calm them

Looking back on it I really didn’t relize how different their bath is to mine with my cat, he shakes but he just locks in place and meows 😭

and people going "lol that's so cute my cat does this" like A. u should not be bathing ur cat, they have a hard time regulating their temperature, unless they have fleas they can do it on their own.

I will say she probably didn’t have time to slowly get her cat comfortable getting washed because she had to do it for fleas, it was more of an emergency
