10w40 is great. to use a thicker pil based on high mileage, Use 15W40 do not use any thinker oil. that's the thickest u go. u got the right 1. I wod use 10w40 though.

Always Shell oils. Never use Castrol. The grades vary according to the vehicle specs

Always look at what the OEM recommends, Shell is a very good product and 15w40 is the correct visc for SA. Personally I like Synthetic, 5w30 or 5w40.....just make sure your filling hole is clean.....

Hx7 for the vanos system I've heard is better but hx5 I use on all my vehicles, Nissan agents only service all Nissan's with shell hx5

Your cars manual should state the correct oil viscosity- increase it slightly as the engine wears out after 150000km- most modern petrol engines have a usable life of about 250000km anyway

15w40 is a good choice...in hotter and high mileage engines 20w50 would also work good

I did a quick google and most results say 5w40 or 10w40 for your car. Synthetic seems to be preferred for BM’s. I’d prefer one with a 50 at end for our hotter climate.
