@dannylovespasta: 44-Clove Garlic Soup Recipe! This is not for the garlic haters, but the taste was actually subtle and not too overpowering! From Bon Appetit magazine. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place 26 unpeeled garlic cloves in a baking dish and toss with 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, and pepper. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then squeeze each garlic clove. 2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then sauté 1 large sliced onion and 1 1/2 tsp chopped thyme until the onions are soft, 6 minutes. Add 18 cloves of raw garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Add 3 1/2 cups chicken stock and the roasted garlic, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes until garlic is tender. Blend soup and return to pot. 3. Add 1/2 cup heavy cream and serve with Parmesan and squeezed lemon on top.
