Ive always used a plain and belt sander for stuff like that. Easier to control and fine tune but seems like that worked pretty darn good

Just float walls better, scribing is last resort. Can always tell something isn’t straight. Scribe won’t help with that

Me personally, I would scribe it, but that was just the way I was taught each their own to be honest, either way it came out clean

i typically scribe anything i can. i've had to scribe and cut into the wall once before. Wall was really out of square..

You gotta scribe it all day everyday. Although you need to get yourself a cordless hand planer, maybe finish with the grinder. You'd be done in fraction of the time👍
