My dog gives corrections for other peoples poorly behaved dogs and they always comment about him being aggressive. I’m like “he didn’t bite them, he just told them to stop invading his personal space”. They never understand the difference.

When my Rotti got to be an older gentleman he was very good at putting puppies in their place but so many owners freaked out because they thought his corrections were aggressions.

A dog that can give *appropriate* corrections are so important. Not all dogs can which could be detrimental to that puppies socialization. This was an excellent example of appropriate correction

😭omg this video is exactly what I needed. so I'm still a fairly new dog owner as an adult and I didn't know what my puppy needed for him to be social with dogs I thought that him having a high intensity level of play and not growling and biting was a sign of okay he's not aggressive towards other dogs which is a good thing right but I felt uneasy every time he would get too hyper around the other dogs so this shows me that I was right and that my puppy still needs a lot of training and I will try my hardest to find a social class for my puppy because I also want him to be able to know how to pick up cues and not just get hyper at every single person he sees or every single dog he sees
