@dmregister: Property tax cuts, new work requirements for Medicaid recipients and changes to Iowa’s higher education system are some of the priorities the Republican majority will tackle when the Iowa Legislature returns Jan. 13. Republicans expanded their majorities in the Nov. 5 election and now hold supermajorities in both the Iowa House and Senate. The GOP has a 67-33 advantage in the House and 34-15 in the Iowa Senate. Other issues could emerge during the legislative session. Gov. @KimReynoldsIA has yet to unveil her full legislative agenda, but she has hinted that maternal and rural health care access will be among her priorities. Here are five issues to watch when the 2025 legislative session begins. Tap the link in our bio for more on this story. #Iowa #IApolitics #IAlegis #Iowafyp #Iowacheck #KimReynolds

That guy hasn’t worked a real day in his life. Chuck grassley has been in office nearly 70 years, all he has done is build wealth for himself and his family, while denying Iowans access to care
