Need to insulate so it cools slower to not trap the air and dissolved solid in the center. Filtered water helps too.

I purchased a set of six and they make great ice balls but they’re very difficult to remove from the mold because the lid is not flexable and it’s extremely frustrating 👎🏻

fun fact, if you boil your water first, whether it's tap water or filtered water, you can get a more clear ice ball
