I have seen some cavity insulation products absolutely saturated with rainwater to a point where they act like a sponge , so the internal skin then absorbed the water and becomes damp !!!!!!!

if I have a 50s house with room air bricks ventilation, does this mean I can cover them up from outtside also if I get new roughcasting put on without causing damp issues?

at my home i have minimal Risk of wáter coming in as i have a front roof. I reduced 80perc natural gas consumption with triple Windows and closing many holes around the wall ventilation + airflow stop

Not all air bricks have a sleeve I’ve come across hundreds that arnt sleeved and enter the cavity. I had to sleeve loads when doing cavity wall insulation

Makes no sense that the walls should breathe, they should be fully sealed from the top, let the attic breathe if you want

No new builds have vents inside the house . We have damp trays and weeps every 450mm to release the moisture water unless they put fake weeps should never get any rising damp
