@milknhoneynutrition: Some of my favorite breakfast foods for people with diabetes are probably things you already have on hand at home. All of these foods are either high in fiber, high in protein, or both, and can help make a well-rounded meal to start your day. #milknhoneynutrition #diabetes #bloodsugar #type1 #t1d #type1diabetes #type2 #t2d #type2diabetes #prediabetes #bloodsugarfriendly #greenscreen
If you cook the oatmeal the night before, add some milk and fruit and nuts, and cool overnight (kind of like a cooked overnight oats) do the starches in the oats become resistant starch?

Oatmeal is so carb heavy it breaks down into glucose. It’s absolutely horrible to eat on an empty stomach due to the glucose load. I love oatmeal but I can’t eat it because of this

I switch between oatmeal and eggs a lot. Oatmeal seems to keep me fuller for longer. I usually toss in some blueberries or strawberries. On the rare I will do apple.

Kodiak oats (I use the kind in the canister) are amazing for blood sugar. No spikes and I add a lil brown sugar and peanut butter. Berries on the side. ✌️💙

Love your content. I completely agree that individuality is key. However If someone wants a solution for pre or T2 oatmeal has high net carbs and should be avoided until reversed 🥰.

Oatmeal hate genuinely surprises me. Why? Oatmeal is fiber? Even though oats have carbs, they're balanced by the fiber in oatmeal?

Fibre isn’t going to stop carbs from being digested sadly. You can’t maintain healthy blood sugar levels eating so many carbohydrates in any meal, let alone breakfast.

I’m prediabetic and one of may favorite breakfasts is Ezekiel bread and peanut butter (no sugar added). Is this a good choice? If not, any suggestions on how to improve it. Thank you!
