@thehutchinsons: It’s just not spoken about… I just feel strongly about this… stumbling across so many public free pools, well maintained in Malaysia but 0 in the uk #thehutchinsons #swim #learntoswim #teachingswimming #swimcoach #noneswimmer #ukfail #drowning #swimteacher #swimconfident #lifeskill #travelvlog #travelfamily
And they respect and look after it, seeing as how clean it is. So lovely

Swimming is very important in Iceland so kids will have a swimming lesson once a week over the school year from 6-16 years old.

Too true the lack of sports centres available is crazy plus they only go for 1 term maybe 2 & swimming lessons for some families is just not affordable all my kids & grandkids swam before school

Totally agree, this skill is a non negotiable for us, but with lockdown and lack of swimming teachers in the UK, it was an absolute nightmare to get our kids to a good swimming level.

Swimming is a life skill. Love the pools in Germany that are so cheap and outdoor with diving boards. Their climate the same as ours. We are bad at swimming in the UK!

I completely agree that it’s a life skill! Something I’ve struggled with as a South African living in the Uk. I can’t believe how difficult it is just to get them to learn how to swim here!

I have to recommend 1:1 lessons. My autistic son spent 6 years in group lessons… after 2 1:1 lessons he is flying. So proud of him ♥️Home Ed has changed his life… and mine 🤣🙈

My sons school used to take them for 2 weeks to a leisure centre but so many kids were so far behind they’ve put pop up swimming pools in the playground and started doing lessons before and after
