To build muscle you need two of the macronutrients. Fatty protein and fats (lipids) Or Lean protein and carbohydrates Basically, you need an energy source, protein and nutrients. You can get the energy either from fats or carbohydrates. Despite what you have always known, you can build muscle more effectively using fatty acids.
