@rtenews: Council workers and contractors who have been clearing snow and gritting roads for a number of days in Wicklow have appealed to people to be sensible about visiting snow covered areas in the coming days. Brian Gaffney of Wicklow County Council has been gritting the roads before the coldest night of the current cold snap set in. While working, Mr Gaffney received a call requesting that a road towards a home is cleared because the woman who lives there was expecting and baby. He said it is an example of the needs that are being met by workers on the front line of the freezing weather in recent days. A Status Orange warning for low temperatures and ice is in place for Leinster, Munster, Connacht, Cavan and Monaghan until 11am tomorrow morning. #rtenews #snow #coldweather #ireland #wicklow
