have u read Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman? I think you would like it, it is possibly my favorite standalone novel. historical fiction horror, takes place in France during the Black Death!

Just finished Brother based on your rec and WOW. Brutal absolutely brutal. I predicted the first twist but the second caught me off guard. Then I immediately saw the foreshadowing in hindsight. GREAT rec thank you and also not thank you I’m empty inside now
