Brother, I can’t even speak our language. It’s been my dad’s biggest regret. I’m so disassociated from family. I still love being PR though. I love our culture.

Same ima PhillyRican my family is from San Sebastian and I never really been on the east side of PR only west side and only stayed with family and would come from the aguadilla airport.

first generation not born on the island, both parents from there, spent many holidays in PR as a kid. there's an ache of being severed from the culture in ways it is impossible to gain later in life.
