We actually were glad having an electric car in Asheville after the hurricane. We charged it before and had 250 miles to go charge it in sc. meanwhile, gas stations had no power or way to get gas

Gas stations don’t work if there’s no power. Also people with electric cars generally seem to have them always charging when they’re at home. 100 miles of range is easily enough…. -A Tacoma owner

Not having a full tank is just as bad. If it’s to the point the power is out then the lines are probably a mile long at gas stations and they are probably almost out of gas.

wouldn't it be the same thing as a gas car? if you have a full battery, u can go as far as until your battery dies. that's the same with gas. once u run out your car dies too.

My car is always charged because it charges overnight in the driveway. If the power goes out, I still have 300 miles of range. The car doesn’t stop working the second the power goes out.

just like a fuel car, you can keep your EV full as well and I would say EV cars are full more often then Gas cars.

I passed a long line of electric cars waiting for the 2 chargers at Walmart as I was leaving. Best ad ever for my hybrid.

Sorry but as an Aussie you are wrong. Gasoline cars don’t really run on gas, they run mostly on air and oxygen. In a fire situation there is not enough air for the motor to run.

To add to what many people have said about the range, EV’s are also WAY better than gas if you’re stuck in gridlock. They use basically 0 energy sitting in traffic while idling reg cars burn thru gas
