you can tell it was calculated because who the actual fck records that stuff to put on social media unless it's calculated? if I was having a breakdown on my wedding day or over stimming I'd be in the corner crying, not recording.

after watching both the artist and the brides videos, I think your right! I’m on the make up artist side of this the bride should have said something even if it was that she hated it, and wanted it redone or wanted to do herself instead of avoiding the artist..

Totally agree as a recent bride who did a trial changed things post trial and has seen my makeup artists previously on the day I still decided to add a little more blush and I had to speak up!!

I had my make up done at a Mecca and ended up wiping half off when I got home. I told her multiple times I didn’t like what she was doing. I gave her a photo of what I wanted. I told her I wanted light bronzey colours. She told me I was wrong and needed dark Smokey colours on my eyes and needed to “trust the process”. I’d even shown her the pastel coloured dress I was wearing to the event. I was in tears on my drive home from just being ignored so badly. I never posted it or even went back to them either the feedback, just avoided getting my make up done there again

I feel like this stance is from a privileged position. You feel comfortable with confrontation, great! Some people are scared & or uncomfortable to speak up & afraid if they do there will be reprecussions. & if you communicate you didn't like something in the trial & the MUA doesn't make the changes, I'd feel like I couldn't trust the MUA or feel confident in their skills/listening. In this case, yes it was calculated as she felt comfortable enough to blast it on social media, but some brides might not be as confident to speak up.
