You’re not alone. I miss sg’s food, safety and convenience when I was in NZ. But being back here, I feel trapped again

Im Singaporean, grew up in USA, worked in China (and gay). I had similar sentiments but realised all big social systems will never fit anyone fully. It’s about finding your community/safe space

I'm Norwegian. Living in Denmark. Everytime I feel safe and secure, I get bored and need to travel. I did travel a lot in Europe, Thailand and the Philippines. I invested time and money into relations

Wanderlust! Not a bad thing if you wanna experience a plethora of things out there! Do it while time is on your side

Things change, you change. Even tho u can relate to sg being ur home, living elsewhere has given u new perspectives. Ask urself “ do i want to live or do i want to exist?” That will determine ur home

Same here. I was born in Brazil, moved to Holland, Uk and now in the UAE. Love going back to Brazil for holidays but don’t imagine myself never living there again.. I feel I don’t belong anywhere 😂

I have been living in Jakarta with family for 8 years. Earning only S$2700 per month wife not workinh. But I manage to rent a house, buy honda vexel for S$34000 loan free and buy comprehensive hospitalisation for wife and 2 kids is S$1000 per year. Renting out 2 hdb rooms back in Sg for S$2000, so that my sis can pop into the flat to check on the tenants. Not thinking pf returning soon.

Maybe you could do little by little and for the moment go back and forth without thinking until life shows you where your place is or settle down but while you come and go

maybe cause you're queer and being queer just means that we're not meant to fit in with society. Maybe you will have to find purpose and belonging else where. but that's the beauty of it.
