they had to spend an entire night fighting the fire with a ground attack only, cause the wind prevented an air attack. so yeah their water resources would be stretched thin

The more lines you open the less pressure you’re going to get at the nozzle. And if the water is supplied by electric pumps and power was compromised now you only have head pressure.

I work for a water utility and when things get bad, we are the first to blame. Keep in mind, utility crews are also working round the clock to ensure tanks are full for emergency personnel.

I would also think that PG and E would have to cut the electricity/ it was effected by the fires so the pumping mechanism could be effected. I think same issue in Maui
