I think the spring and distilled ones will be similar but I think the tap water will take a bit longer to ferment

distilled water actually isn't pure water. is a water pure enough for almost all uses (not all). you can even measure the ammount of salts measuring the electrical conductivity of the water

In Scotland u can drink tap water as much as u like long as nothings in the pipes. But bottled is still better. U notice the difference more when the tap water goes to room temperature. Not the best.

I can definitely taste the differences in tap water between cities. bottled and filtered water usually tastes the cleanest to me.

I brew beer at home and the first batch I did, I didn’t account for chlorine in my tap water. It was definitely noticeable, but not undrinkable!

there will definitely be a difference. I remember when I use to sell filtration systems and test coffee between filtered and tap water and you can definitely taste the difference 💦

so cool! I make tap water for a living so very curious :) hopefully the chlorine in the tap water doesn't kill the yeast, but just letting it sit before adding should take care of that

My prediction: Will there be a difference? Yes. Will it be noticeable to the pallet? No.

water is one of those things most take for granted. However, as I found out very fast brewers take their alkaline RO water VERY seriously

I think they will all ferment BUT I think the tap water will start slower because the yeast colony will have to get past the free chlorine. The tap might also have a slight off flavor from Cl2
