Could you tell me what made you get the ear tubes?? My almost 3 year old has a “speech delay” but when you’re around him, you can somewhat understand him.. he can “speak” just not clearly , if you understand what I mean.. I recently found out maybe he needs ear tubes so we go to the doctor on Monday to hopefully get a referral to an ENT

My son is getting tubes - he’s about to be 10 months old. He meets every milestone - except he doesn’t babble, specifically consonants. He can hear - but anyway it’s freaked me out. The ENT thinks the persistent fluid might be the cause. Did your son babble a lot prior to 1?

i feel like this is exactly what my son is going thru rn:( we went for a hearing test and he was too “active” to do it so now i have to wait until 01/09 to do it, check fluid, and then go from there. i feel like im failing:( because im trying my best, with teaching. we have birth to three, now which i hope will help but i always had a thing about his hearing. at the hospital even at birth, he failed his first test in one ear… (fluid ofc) and then we had to go back to do it again to make sure he was good and it was faint but he got it! hoping this is what’s going on.
