I never found this question logical, YOU have an open position so you know what you wanna pay a new employee, YOU tell the sollicitant how much you pay and let the sollicitant say if he/she agrees.

it's such a waist of time when they don't put pay range. I've had to stop interviews due to how low the salary was or they don't offer insurance or vacations were too low.
