@gbc_school_europe: What Really Matters - Meeting at least 60–70% of the job requirements listed in the description. - Using the right keywords (in English or German, especially if you're applying in Austria). - Keeping it short, clear, and tailored to the specific role. But if you already have all this in place and still aren’t getting responses, consider trying the “quick applications” strategy. When I was recently job hunting for a front-end developer position in Vienna, I noticed a significant jump in interview invites once I started applying to new postings as soon as they appeared. --- How to Track New Job Listings 1. Open your go-to job boards (Indeed, Monster, Glassdoor — in Austria, also check Willhaben Jobs or the career pages of specific companies). 2. Set the filter to show postings from the “last 24 hours” and go through the relevant ones. There usually aren’t too many. 3. Check for updates every 5–10 minutes, like you’re fishing (feel free to play some Austrian radio or relaxing music in the background). 4. Apply immediately when you spot a new job (and make sure to tweak your CV to match the key skills mentioned). 5. Keep monitoring until you’re either exhausted or land the right opportunity. For me, my first solid response (and interview invite) came when I applied within 30 minutes of the job being posted. And this is coming from someone with just 2 years of front-end experience, far from being a “superstar.” The timing of the application definitely made all the difference.
