Any hotsprings I have been to in Japan don't allow clothing. I know some do but it's not the norm.

We went after seeing this post, we enjoyed it. Was a different experience than anything we had done so that was good - 1hr fast train from Tokyo station and they pick you up from the station. All info on their website. Tattoo’s fine! Food very traditional just FYI
