Omg when i was a kid my dad took me to a FANCY restaurant and I remember only getting 1 soda with dinner and the waiter being really nasty saying “This isnt TACO BELL” and i was so confused

It also costs a few cents if you sell drinks by fountain. Europe often sells in bottles so it's not easy to offer free refills

Worked at TB in 91. I asked the manager how they could afford free refills. She told me the cup, ice & drink cost 11cents. An 85c drink was almost all profit.
