Got a tiny addition to that:since cashmere is not really wool/fur but thin hair, it actually likes to get washed every now and then! Wool wash cycle is more gentle than handwash for this material💖

I have a thrifted wool cardigan and it smells old and extremely pungent, I aired it out for weeks and even gently hand washed with a wool shampoo , it still smells really strong

See that’s why I can’t be okay with natural fiber sweaters. It just feels so gross not to wash it especially bc wool isn’t super breathable so if I get overheated, I’ll feel gross not washing the sweater
